This piece was made in trade for one of my friend’s wonderful, whimsical paper-cut collages. She chose the colors “muted greens and purples” and told me she wanted something that “looked interesting.” I started with a fully mapped out design, a rarity for me. And then I didn’t like it once it was on theContinue reading “Odds ‘n’ Evens
“Skyler’s Friends” quilt was an absolute joy to make! Skyler is a special girl, she’s artistic and she loves animals–butterflies, unicorns, raccoons, birds, bugs! It was a blast to create for Skyler so she has a yummy and soft quilt she can cuddle with.

I’m more of an improvisational quilter, so challenge quilts push me out of my comfort zone. A deadline, smaller scale, limited materials and trying something new have been a fun combination. I envisioned a simple but formal table setting. I loved adding the mini wrenches and beading to “dress it up” and thought the mustardContinue reading “No Clue!
Created in Marjolein Dallinga’s Beyond Resist workshop. By cutting through my partially felted piece, hidden colors appeared and created unique, organic forms.
