This piece was made with multiple resists (patterns) that were cut a certain way to reveal the inside layers of wool which became three dimensional.

This was from a pattern with many different finishing/fabric options. I loved the idea of making a quilt made up of different types of basic symbols. Using foundation paper piecing, a great technique for making otherwise difficult to create designs, you are able to make an infinite variety of quilted images.
