Machine pieced; machine quilted. I have been a member of Northwestern University Circle Piecemakers for over 10 years. When planning for these three quilts, ourContinue reading “Community Jigsaw
Machine pieced and quilted with piping. Quilted by Barb Jolley. This quilt was begun in a design workshop with Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mobly. Design Source – Green Diamonds by KaffeContinue reading “Twenty Carats Plus

Machine pieced & long arm quilted by Debbie Cimaglio. Created and given in love to celebrate the marriage of Lee Portman and Abby Chiron on July 31, 2010, Chicago. I wanted a less “traditional” quilt for this young couple and therefore chose the pattern Elongated Diamond by Jan Kreuger. With a variety of bright, boldContinue reading “Black Diamonds
Machine pieced & machine quilted. Created and given in love to celebrate the birth of Avery Basilia MacArthur born September 20, 2010. Proud parents Andy and Emily (Bautista) MacArthur have eagerly awaited the arrival of their first child. I hope the bright colors and “happy bubbles” make this a favorite cuddle up quilt for theirContinue reading “Happy Bubbles
Machine pieced & machine quilted. I love springtime and the “birth” every year of my garden, I enjoy looking at this quilt in the dead of winter, when everything is covered in snow, to remind me of the many flowers and butterflies that grace my garden before winter arrives.
Hand needle felted, hand quilted, wet felted. The felted center piece (the backing was wet felted and then the detail added with needle felting) was completed in a Dimensional Felting class taught by Lela Luetgar at the Midwest Fiber & the Internet. I hand quilted the border to enhance the felting and make it pop.
Machine sewn. This purse was made in an IQI workshop with Sara Lawson. I found the perfect fabric in my stash to make a purse to wear with black and blue. First time installing feet and an adjustable strap.
Machine sewn. I needed a dressy purse to go with browns and since I also wear a lot of oranges this fabric from my stash was perfect. The pebble lining was a great find. Made at the 2016 IQI class with Sara Lawson and her newest purse pattern. Finished in time to wear for aContinue reading “Pebbles in the Forest Purse

Hand embroidered, fused appliqué, hand pieced, hand quilted. I’ve wanted to make a Sudoku quilt for quite some time not totally satisfied with how I saw others done. Feeling the original numbers should be easily apparent I made them outline embroidery on black fabric. I’ve also been waiting for an opportunity to try Carol Armstrong’sContinue reading “Sudoku by the Birds
