Upcycled Happiness

This upcycled dress was made using pieces of other garments that were no longer being worn. Includes: A man’s shirt, woman’s pants, woman’s shirt and raw edge fringe from a couple of knit tops. It is also screen printed with a few graphic elements and has freeform seam sewing.

Machine pieced and quilted. I made this quilt in 2008-9 for my granddaughter using Egyptian prints. She always liked anything Egyptian and is now taking Arabic and is hoping to be an Egyptologist. Her name is quilted in hieroglyphics down the sides.
