Amazing Iceberg – Gone!Valerie Rodelli
Frafting photo, fabric collage, threadwork, quilting. This iceberg was “10” stories high and “3” blocks long. As we were photographing it, it began to calve (dripping water and dropping chunks of ice). It collapsed before our eyes, rolled over, and became a sea of ice chunks. Amazing! Design Source – Original, taken from own photo.

Happy StarsMartha Ross-Mockaitis
Machine pieced. Long arm quilted by Sue DiVarco. I took Pam Buda’s class in August 2018 and decided to make 1/2 of her big quilt. Pam’s technique of “make it larger and cut it down” is wonderful along with using starch to stiffen the fabrics. Precision can be fun! Design Source – Pam Buda pattern.
Mini Northern LightsMartha Ross-Mockaitis
Machine pieced and quilted. A guild member gave me a shoebox of 1 1/2″ strips her mother had cut. What fun! That mom had a great eye for color, to my benefit. Design Source – Pattern “Mini Northern Lights” by JayBird Quilts.

Winter SunsetTerry Simeone
Machine piecing; hand quilting; indigo-dyed; katazome (rice resist) printed fabric. I was inspired during many late afternoon skis in the woods, when the rapidly-setting sun changes the sky from deep blue to pink and finally to gray, and those magical moments when the bare treetops seem to be dipped in gold. This piece began inContinue reading “Winter Sunset
