I purchased them as a rummage sale for $10. Each is framed with improvisational strips in a log cabin pattern. Walking foot and free-motion quilted.

This is an improvisational quilt inspired by Japanese proportions of design. Improv quilts do not have set patterns. The quilter designs the quilt as he/she goes along, piecing, sewing and rearranging the blocks until a harmonious design emerges.
