30 Days Hath Sudoku, November 2005 Obsession

Appliqué-fused 2,430 fabric squares embellished with satin ribbon. Hand guided long arm quilting. Each of the 30 blocks of this quilt represent one Sudoku puzzle. I worked the Tribune’s daily puzzle each day for a month, then substituted one fabric for each number 1 – 9.

My Bed is in a Garden, A Garden is on my Bed

Fussy cut piecing; fused and turned appliqué. Machine embellished appliqué. Long arm quilted, hand guided. Much like a garden, the design of this quilt grew organically. An earlier simple design ended up as a more complex quilt.

The Wisdom Tree

We began as insignificant caterpillars seeking wisdom, guidance and support. We feed upon these necessities until we soar like butterflies spreading our beauty.
