Light is the Color of Life

Mary Lischalk

Hand dyed fabrics, machine pieced, quilted, appliquéd and embroidered, machine lace (figure) and trapunto. All my life I have loved the tactile and visual quality of fabrics. With this quilt I moved past traditional uses to create a piece which communicates the love of the world around us.

The Late Summer Garden

Flo London

Machine pieced and machine quilted. The inspiration for this quilt was the sunflower fabric which the hexagon blocks are made from. There is a piece of the original quilt on the back of the quilt. The top is composed of 594 equilateral triangles set in a kaleidoscope design.

The Lost Room

Gerry Macsai

Fused commercial and hand dyed fabrics, machine quilted. On a trip to France, I came across a deserted building. This quilt was juried into the World Quilt Festival.

What Else?

This quilt was created by children and families at the 2007 good Mourning Bereavement Camp. Children from ages 3-19 participate in the program developed by Rainbow…

Yellow and Blue Sampler

Carole Naughton

Machine quilted, hand appliqué, paper piecing. A tribute to my teacher, C. J. Spensley, at Pieceful Hearts who taught me these techniques and gave me the passion to continue quilting.
