Hand-dyed cotton, tulle, netting, postage stamps. I like to collect and incorporate non-traditional materials in my work, including postage stamps. I admire these mini-works of art. I added stamps from my collection & my dad’s.

This garden was created with my stash of candy wrappers…fabric and thread. “No candy was harmed in the making of this piece!” (Hand-dyed and commercial fabrics, candy wrappers, found objects, trapped threads, tulle, machine stitched.)

My garden is sometimes neglected. Fabric and thread helps me create a garden that needs no weeding, watering and is always in bloom. (Hand dyed, hand cut fabrics, improv composition, machine stitched.)

Made playfully from recycled and cast-off materials, I explore the notions of need, want, excess and waste. (Hand-dyed and commercial fabrics, over-dyed recycled clothing, threads. Improv composition. Machine stitched.)

Many things cause turbulence in our lives: the economy, politics, social disparity, health, personal loss, emotional unrest, mental hardships…and the wind. (Machine stitched yarns, threads, fibers. Shaped and stiffened.)
