Garden Stomp

Pat Kroth

Hand-dyed cotton, tulle, netting, postage stamps. I like to collect and incorporate non-traditional materials in my work, including postage stamps. I admire these mini-works of art. I added stamps from my collection & my dad’s.

Garden Confection

Pat Kroth

This garden was created with my stash of candy wrappers…fabric and thread. “No candy was harmed in the making of this piece!” (Hand-dyed and commercial fabrics, candy wrappers, found objects, trapped threads, tulle, machine stitched.)

Spiral Dance

Pat Kroth

Heat-bonded fiber fragments, found objects, tulle overlays, machine stitched. I coached gymnastics for over 15 years. The gymnastics ribbons were one of the favorites of teachers and students alike.

Garden Hues

Pat Kroth

My garden is sometimes neglected. Fabric and thread helps me create a garden that needs no weeding, watering and is always in bloom. (Hand dyed, hand cut fabrics, improv composition, machine stitched.)

Ragtime

Pat Kroth

Made playfully from recycled and cast-off materials, I explore the notions of need, want, excess and waste. (Hand-dyed and commercial fabrics, over-dyed recycled clothing, threads. Improv composition. Machine stitched.)

Maple Medley

Pat Kroth

Hand-dyed, sun-printed cotton, images of leaves. Machine stitched, Fall is my favorite season of the year for its brilliant color display and swirling winds of change.

String Theory Strata

Pat Kroth

I find beauty in the cast-off elements that surround me. Working in an improvisational manner, I play with light, color and movement. (Hand-dyed and commercial fabrics, over-dyed recycled clothing, thread yarn, discarded fibers. Machine stitched.)

Turbulence

Pat Kroth

Many things cause turbulence in our lives: the economy, politics, social disparity, health, personal loss, emotional unrest, mental hardships…and the wind. (Machine stitched yarns, threads, fibers. Shaped and stiffened.)

Gingko Shadows

Pat Kroth

Hand-dyed, sunprinted images of leaves. Appliqué gingko leaves. Machine pieced & quilted, I love gingko leaves for their elegant and graceful silhouettes.
