Embroidery, sashiko, boro, yo-yos. I purchased this coat with the intent to embellish it, but didn’t really get the motivation until Lisa Binkley’s “Beyond Boro” NSNG class in November 2022. Embellishments are original designs. The coat was made by Susan Eastman.

My current regimen of all-black Eileen Fisher professional wear barely suppresses a lifelong love of clothes with lace, ruffles, pleats and pouf-y skirts. An unfortunate predilection of strips, spots and all things orange breaks out all too often.
