Hand embroidered with natural elements. Embroidered on linen, machine sewn. I love to mix natural items into my stitching projects. I wanted to make a useful item that incorporated some of my beach treasures. Adapted from Ariane Zurcher pattern.

Hand sewn, hand beaded. This was a large challenge for me. I’ve never done a large scale beading project before. I made some additions and subtractions and this is the final outcome.

Fabric collage, embroidery, machine quilting. Onslo is our sweet 27 year old horse. He lives on a farm in McHenry with his comfort pony, Layla, and his many horse friends. Paper pieced with silk and Aboriginal fabrics. Machine quilted. I had been saving the Aboriginal fabrics for some time waiting for the right pattern to present itself.
