Started in a Laura Wasilowski workshop using silk she dyed. The bird is a smaller version of a wire and yarn wrapped piece I designed many years ago. (Silk hand dyed by Laura Wasilowski. Sparkling Snowflake

Using a pattern I folded on an iridescent organza fused to interfacing, I added bugle beads, seed beads and one Swarovski crystal to each side. It will hang in my west window to add sparkle to my condo. (Folded paper pattern cut from iridescent organza, embellished with iridescent beads.)

Beading, This is my interpretation of a classic beading stitch, Right Angle Weave. The center embellishment is what makes it original and special.

Phoenix Rising from a Polymer Base

Polymer clay with quilting-type designs on the background. Started in an NSNG polymer clay workshop with Christi Friesen. The swirls in the background are very quilt-like. Beads were added using wire or thread.
