Off-loom beading using peyote, right-angle weave and free form embellishment stitches. The bracelet was started in an NSNG workshop last April with Rachel Nelson Smith using her pattern and beads she provided in the class kit. For the necklace, using the same beads and starting with her concept of a peyote stitched background, I added a chain of triple right-angle weave taught by Barbara Fry. For the necklace and earrings I added some turquoise beads that I had in a necklace with tarnished silver beads. The background reminds me of sand and the turquoise colored embellishments suggest waves breaking on the beach.
