Machine pieced, machine quilted. This quilt was made for my daughter Patty in honor of her service in the Peace Corps. All the fabrics are from Ghana, where she served, except one which is from Mali. Machine pieced, quilted on domestic machine. I finally got up my nerve to slice and dice a special piece of fabric. I began in the center and worked my way out, adding borders until it was the size I wanted.
Machine piecing, hand applique, long arm quilting. This quilt was made for me at the end of my term as president of IQI. I was very touched to have so many people contribute to it.

A fun technique with an element of surprise that will inspire anybody’s creativity. Long arm quilting by quilter. (One Block Wonder – uses 6 identical triangles to create a kaleidoscope-like design. The hexagons are then arranged to create the overall quilt design.)
