Machine pieced, machine quilted. This quilt was made for my daughter Patty in honor of her service in the Peace Corps. All the fabrics are from Ghana, where she served, except one which is from Mali. Since she visited Mali and the fabric shows women making fufu, I felt it was appropriate to include it. The Mali fabric can best be seen by looking at the back. The back also has strips of kente cloth woven in her honor and in honor of her parents’ visit to her village.
