Hand sewn, hand beaded. This was a large challenge for me. I’ve never done a large scale beading project before. I made some additions and subtractions and this is the final outcome.

Fabric collage, embroidery, machine quilting. Onslo is our sweet 27 year old horse. He lives on a farm in McHenry with his comfort pony, Layla, and his many horse friends. Raw edge applique collage, wool applique, embroidery, beading. Custom machine quilted. Folklore tells us a cardinal sighting is a sign of good luck, loyalty or a visit from a loved one. Paper pieced with silk and Aboriginal fabrics. Machine quilted. I had been saving the Aboriginal fabrics for some time waiting for the right pattern to present itself.
