Machine embroidery, traditional piecing, ribbon embellishment, hot-fix crystals. This quilt began as a teaching tool to learn how to use an embroidery module that came with a new sewing machine. I was so happy with the result that I decided to make it into a wall hanging.
Machine piecing, hand applique, embroidery and embellishments. Hot-fix crystals, crochet. I love all fiber arts and was experimenting with how to combine my beautiful yarns with some gorgeous batiks to create a magical fantasy garden.

Machine pieced, applique, embellished with cheese cloth, tulle, small shells and beads sewn on by hand. Machine quilted. I lived near Lake Michigan for 25 years and loved walking on the beach and picking up beach glass treasures.
Hand-dyed, recycled cotton string and sari-silk strips. “Wave” caused by changing string size. It is amazing to me that so much texture and shape happens just by changing size of the string, and adding sari-silk for color.
Hand-dyed, recycled cotton rope and string . Dowel is painted to match. Freeform macrame. I love working with the 3 basic macrame knots in different combinations to see what evolves. I am always pleasantly surprised.
Hand-dyed cotton, freeform macrame knotting. This is my favorite shape to work with. This shape allows me to “fill in” spaces on my wall that would otherwise be “artless”.
