The Untamed Landscape

Chinese paint stone & petrified palm wood cabochons, beaded & attached to a deer antler. Hangs from a leather necklace. I found these cabochons on Etsy & fell in love with the Chinese painted stone. It really looks as though someone painted a landscape. I hope I have done it justice.

The Mermaid’s Satchel

Leather, ultrasuede, bead embroidery, chain. I took a leather purse workshop at Chicago School of Shoemaking & this was the leftover leather from that purse. I beaded the mermaid & she fit perfectly on the uneven edge of the flap.

Hand beaded, seams were hand-sewn after beading to hide the stitches from beadwork. In mixing beads, I wanted the scarf to look very elegant.

Food for Thought: The 2015 Good Mourning Camp Quilt

Appliqué, ribbon embellishment, machine pieced & quilted. This quilt was created at the 28th Good Mourning Bereavement Camp, “Food for Thought”, sponsored by Rainbow Hospice. Children and families created the “plates” to memorialize their loved ones who have died.
