Machine pieced. Machine quilted by Sue DiVarco. Rhona and I bought this fabric, separately, and discovered that we both bought the same fabric but different colors. I moved, she moved to California and gave me the quilt top as a gift.

On the Road to Zentangles

Machine quilting, hand embroidery stitching, zentangles printed on fabric. Zentangles were featured at the NSNG summer picnic. They are done on paper. I transferred them to fabric so I could use on the quilt.

Pin weaving, couching, hand-gathering. Water is a fascinating subject – the changing colors, shapes & moods are a continuous source of inspiration. This set shows the scene from the same spot at opposite times of the day.

Couching, tucks, hand-gathering, twisted strips, pleating, machine stitching, “bubbling”, cording. The panoramic shape of the panels portrays the vastness of the landscape in a small scale format. Stacking 3 identical shapes emphasizes this idea.
