Birds in the Garden

Georgia Cibul

Machine pieced by Georgia Cibul. Machine quilted by Sue DiVarco. I loved doing this quilt because the fabric was so beautiful. The feeling of this quilt is that of peace and tranquility.

Chestnuts & Vine

Georgia Cibul

Hand applique, machine piecing by Georgia Cibul. Machine quilted by Sue DiVarco. This quilt was a 6 month project from Pieceful Gatherings Quilt Shop. It was fun to do except for the many, many leaves. They took forever to do.

Catching the Brass Ring

Chris Deering

Machine pieced, appliqued and quilted. Hand work for embellishments. Our guild challenge included 5 fabrics which we were to use. When I saw the the striped fabric I immediately pictured a zebra – so here it is!

Red Earth

Chris Deering

Machine pieced and custom machine quilted. My very own design resulting from a workshop with Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr. The fabrics were bought on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Australia and I wanted to have a very special design.

Checkerboard Flowers

Chris Deering

Hand appliqued and custom machine quilted. The hand applique took a long time – this was my carry-around project for a couple years. The quilting was a challenge (the cross hatching) and ufun (the custom work in each block).
