Fused, fabric, machine quilted, embellished with beads sewn on by hand. This evolved based on the background fabric which reminded me of wallpaper and the bug just evolved, a metamorphosis.

Discharged cotton & velvet; hand dyed silks; commercial batik; photos printed on fabrics; machine embroidered. This piece came about after taking photos of angel statues in a cemetery. I manipulated the photos in Photoshop before printing on silk organza & cotton, then layered them on the quilt.

Beading represents “dew” early morning. Pipe cleaners for antennas.
