Straight from the Dryer

Cindy Kuo

Layered dryer fabric sheets sewn together and tea dyed; beading, This is a garment that I made and entered into one of the GreenCraft magazines. It is using what you would normally throw away after drying the clothes and turning it into something wearable.

Colour Wheel Quilt #1

Cindy Kuo

Patchwork, Looking at a colour wheel really puts a big smile on my face. I am working on a series of quilts where I take different patterns from the colour wheel, make 9-patch squares from 2″ squares and then sew those 9-patch squares together. The colour combinations seem to be endless.

Needle felting, hand dyed, wet felted, resists used, embellishing, beads and wire work, Vessels are a simple shape, but I love to see how to make them complex, embellished and unique! The process is so fun and each one I create is different.
