Machine pieced and quilted, hand dyed (home and purchased) and batik fabrics. I would like to thank my mother, Marie Greening, for making this quilt possible. My first attempt at machine quilting quilting this was dreadful. My shoulder hurt, my machine misbehaved, and yet I kept on going. When it was done, I decided that I had ruined it and tossed it into a cupboard. My visiting mother asked for a project and I handed her the quilt and a seam ripper. After 6 months of physical therapy on my shoulder and a practice service quilt, I rethought my quilting lines and am now pleased with the result.
