NSNG Ribbon, ultrasuede, woven pillow cover, sequins and beads: handstitched and machine stitched on canvas. Quote: “Ribbon is the candy of the textile world”. Enroute to a quilting retreat in southern Illinois, I spotted an antique shop with everything 50% off. Who could resist that? A lover/collector of rag rugs, I bought the woven pillow cover shown. Taking out the seams, I realized it was not made from rags but from ribbons! The quote is from the English textile magazile ‘Selvedge’ from an article on ribbon.
