Hand quilted, machine sewed top, beading. Cotton and silk for applique. This piece was done in conjunction with a workshop by Heidi Parkes on handquilting. The first part of the class was focused on picking a scene or fabrics with emotional attachments. This was inspired by a sense by a photo I had taken upon landing at O’Hare. The beautiful sunset gave me a sense of calmness for upcoming challenges. Design Source – Photo.
