I bought the whimsical animal fabric and pattern on sale pre-pandemic in Edinburgh, Scotland, searched for the coordinating fabric to fit the color scheme that I had in mind, and accumulated them over time. The back is pieced with the scraps from the front, along with some additions and I have to thank my deceased mother for my inclination to be a thrifty sewer.
