This piece was inspired by a workshop by the late Deborah Fell. She encouraged us to use the resources we had – both materially and creatively-to make art. In addition to colorful scraps, I have a tin full of buttons that belonged to my late mother, Millie. During the workshop I realized that while my sewing skills were not passed down from my mother, my creativity and collecting skills were!
