The design is Blooming Nine Patch, I started it several years ago and just recently completed it. I bought it as a kit at a store now closed: Quiltology. Long-arm quilting by Material Girl in Crystal Lake. This is an improv quilt that represents my feelings about Covid. The technique was taught by Cindy Grisdela at an NSNG workshop.
