Hand dyed fabrics, appliqué and machine quilted
When I needed to make a new quilt for my bed, I knew it needed to be an explosion of color. Choosing hand-dyed fabrics in rich autumn colors gave me that look. I did all of the machine quilting before the appliqué and then quilted the leaves. Free-form feathers and leaves done in variegated thread add to the color palette..
