Reverse applique, machine pieced, machine quilted. This quilt began at an in-person class with Ann Marie Horner. Her fun-loving personality and many of her fabrics show in this delightful garden of flowers.

Chuppah for Sukkat ShalomCathy Baker
A chuppah is a Jewish wedding canopy symbolizing a roof over the married couple’s home. The Hebrew letter translates to mean “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine”. This Chuppah was created for Congregation Sukkat Shalom in Wilmette in honor of Founding Rabbi Sam Gordon’s retirement. (Machine pieced and quilted, fusible applique.)

This quilt was made for my beautiful mom who as a little girl looked like the child in the backgroud fabric. At 90 years old she still remembers what it feels like to be a little girl with a kite! (Machine pieced (all Y-seams) and quilted.)
