| Margaret is Beth’s maternal grandmother. Unfinished star blocks were found in Margaret’s belongings labeled “Margaret’s Green Quilt for Beth”. Beth had no recollection of the blocks or that her grandmother was making a quilt for her from them. And she didn’t like the colors. So Beth, my neighbor, gave the box to me to “do whatever it is that you do”. This is the result. After trimming and piecing the blocks into a top I had tons of fun Free Motion Quilting it. (Machine pieced vintage blocks. FMQ on long arm with frame.) |
