Machine pieced, raw edge appliqué, hand turned appliqué. This piece was done in a workshop with Rosalie Dace. Our inspiration was the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, a proponent of organic forms, color and broken up spaces.

Hand made “paper cloth” for background, raw edge appliqué, hand embroidered, buttons. “Paper cloth” is a fun new creative discovery. It is made by soaking a base of muslin with a glue/water solution and layering tissue and other papers, adding paint, etc.

Machine appliqued and quilted. Embellished with shell buttons and sequins. Inspired by architectural motifs and marine life at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas.
