The Last Trees

Narrow strip pieced, hand dyed cotton, machine quilted, hand embellished & embroidered trees. After the warming, all the trees are blackened and burnt. Global warming has destroyed their ability to grow and produce seeds.

Copper Leaf

Fused fabics for background. Leaf was made by longarm quilting on dissolve fusible with copper metallic thread. I’m trying to step out of my box and try my hand at art quilting. I golf and saw a leaf like this on the course. I went home and decided to see if I could “quilt” one.
