This is my interpretation of all the competing tugging on our time, priorities and values. (Hooked rug on linen with hand dyed wool fabric, recycled fabric, wool yarn, recycled sari silk, with wool quillies.)

Hooked in wool, wool yarn and silk on a linen backing. Lined in a leopard print on rayon. Buttons on top. A hat based on a pillbox shape, made of wool strips hooked into a linen backing, lined in leopard rayon lining. Very warm.  Some hand dyed wool strips.

Fabric collage of cotton, blue jeans, used tea bag, wool lining, quilted cotton fabric,  hand embroidered, embroidery floss. Small embroidery collage with recycled and upcycled found fabrics. A quilt backingsupports the teabag that has been stained with rust, as well as supporting the jeanremnant, and the illumination in the sky. Watercolor was used for the birds.

Hand hooked rug on linen backing. Materials include hand-dyed wool, recycled “as is” wool, silk, wool yarn, upcycled yarn and manufactured yarn. I design my own work, but even so, typically you have one passage that is less interesting than another.
