Collage style image, quilted by Martha. I took a class with artist Laura Heine. She is a wonderful teacher and so creative! This is my first Heine collage with more to come. This creative process checks all my boxes! (Laura Heine Cactus Queen Pattern and process)

Machine and paper pieced from my batik stash. Quilted by Sue DiVarco. I gave myself several rules and dove into my batik stash. It was a total blast to make!     

Paper pieced using my stash. Quilted by Sue DiVarco. Pattern by Deb Karasik. While undergoing radiation I began making this quilt. Deb Karasik designed the pattern for women beating cancer. Sue quilted it as a gift to me. Women giving strength and hope to other women!     

Machine pieced using batiks in my stash. Quilted by Sue DiVarco. Sue’s first year as Program Chairperson was interrupted by C-19. Everything stopped and speakers and workshops were cancelled. But the guild board members learned how to Zoom & Sue found a whole new line-up of speakers, this is the board thank you gift to Sue.

Hand stitched and hand applique using traditional Japanese sashiko surface design. Machine stitched borders, hand quilted. This is a Sylvia Pippen design. I made the Sashiko surface design and loved every stitch! Several of the butterflies were appliqued at my mother’s bedside as I helped her die.
