Machine pieced. Long arm quilted by Sue DiVarco. I took Pam Buda’s class in August 2018 and decided to make 1/2 of her big quilt. Pam’s technique of “make it larger and cut it down” is wonderful along with using starch to stiffen the fabrics. Precision can be fun! Design Source – Pam Buda pattern.

Machine pieced and quilted. A guild member gave me a shoebox of 1 1/2″ strips her mother had cut. What fun! That mom had a great eye for color, to my benefit. Design Source – Pattern “Mini Northern Lights” by JayBird Quilts.

Templates to cut all pieces. Machine pieced, longarm quilted. I took a guild workshop taught by Bill Kerr. It was excellent. This paattern was discussed. The precision of the pattern made it a dream to make. Design Source – Pattern kit by Modern Quilt Studio, Oak Park, IL.

Piecing, machine quilted by Windy City Quilting (Sally Evanshank). Organizing the fabrics was the challenge. I really like the log cabin piecing so, once arranged, the piecing went quickly.

Applique, pieced, quilted. I saw his kit while exploring beautiful New Mexico. This wall hanging will remind me of that trip and the wonderful Native American Art work we saw.
