Tree Love

Cynthia Boudreau

Hand wet felted with merino wool and silk fibers. Machine and hand stitched. Inspired by twin cottonwoods that are very old and huge that I walk by often. It’s a true love of old friends side by side.

Bizarre Botanicals: In Flight

Shelley Brucar

Hand-dyed fabric, free form machine quilted. The Bird of Paradise stands for happiness, love, freedom, joy, opportunity and good fortune. It’s flower brings to mind a bird in flight and thus it is also belived to represent the ability to soar above world troubles.

Carmine’s Sunset

Shelley Brucar

Hand woven, free-form weaving on a loom I designed and made. This piece was inspired by a friend’s photo of a sunset over the lake near her home – even though it looks nothing like the original photo.

City Stroll

Shelley Brucar

Hand-dyed fabric, machine stitching, raw edge applique. I am trying to create more abstract work which is more diffcult for me than representational. On this piece I mostly worked with color as my guide and used organza for layering and texture.

Dreams of Morocco

Penny Burns

Machine pieced and quilted. I began this piece in a class taught by Irene Roderick. Each small block is improvisationally pieced. The small blocks are then arranged like a jigsaw puzzle to make up the quilt.

Ema Non

Diana Burrows

Machine pieced and quilted. I had a template and wanted to see what I could do with it.
