Barb Zerna

Hand-dyed, recycled cotton string and sari-silk strips. “Wave” caused by changing string size. It is amazing to me that so much texture and shape happens just by changing size of the string, and adding sari-silk for color.

Maroon 1

Barb Zerna

Hand-dyed cotton, freeform macrame knotting. This is my favorite shape to work with. This shape allows me to “fill in” spaces on my wall that would otherwise be “artless”.

Cream Wave

Barb Zerna

Natural cotton string and rope. Macrame. I made this during a particularly cold winter week. It was so relaxing – and I love how it turned out.
