Background machine pieced, fused applique, hand stitching. I developed this in a Valerie Goodwin workshop called “Favorite Places”. Florence was a honeymoon destination with my husband. I was nearly 41 when we married and we weren’t sure if we could have a family. Our first daughter was born 9 months later!
Machine and hand applique. Based on a Pinterest photo of fall leaves and red berries. Rather than try to re-createthe actual color variations of the leaves, I used different fabrics and changed thered berries to blue!
