Raw edge appliqué, beaded, hand embroidered. My studio is in a second floor sunroom with windows on three sides, so I have a constantly changing vista!

Machine pieced, raw edge appliqué, hand turned appliqué. This piece was done in a workshop with Rosalie Dace. Our inspiration was the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, a proponent of organic forms, color and broken up spaces.

Raw edge appliqué, hand embroidered, beaded. Made from pieces in my “scrap bag”. Sometimes it’s fun to pull out pieces and see what evolves!

Hand made “paper cloth” for background, raw edge appliqué, hand embroidered, buttons. “Paper cloth” is a fun new creative discovery. It is made by soaking a base of muslin with a glue/water solution and layering tissue and other papers, adding paint, etc.
