Painted fabric embellished with embroidery, beads, shells and sand. This started as a piece of white fabric that was painted in a class. The embellishment was inspired by the printed images.

Sawtooth Cats

Machine paper pieced and quilted on home sewing machine. Each cat is made of two fabrics and each one is different. The quilting pattern is paw prints to echo the pieced paw print border.

All Dressed Up

Hand embroidered and fused applique, machine pieced and quilted. The panel of doll dresses called me to add tiny embellishments and get back to hand embroidery. It won Best of Show at a regional fair.

Twistin’

Machine pieced, embellished with yoyos and Kanzashi flowers. Machine quilted on home sewing machine. The “twister” technique fascinated me so I made a huge version and embellished it with Kanzushi flowers and yoyos.

A Cat’s Prayer

Clothesline wrapped with fabric zigzagged together and shaped into purse. This is fabric wrapped around clothesline that us stitched together.

In The Deep

Embellish piece of fabric with yarn, embroidery and beading. Machine quilted. This was an orphan block from a friend. The fish were printed on the fabric. It is embellished with hand stitching and beading.
