Drafted the compass pattern, paper pieced, quilted on a domestic sewing machine. This piece was begun in a class with Kris Lyn Kirsch about 10 years ago. I finished the paper piecing & quilted it over this 2013 summer.
Machine applique, machine quilted. Summer offers a great time to observe the phases of the moon. This summer had a lovely ‘Blue Moon’ which I had to include. What fun to make an Art Quilt!

Machine stitched quilt top – Joan Schnadig. All over quilted by Maureen Tinley. I started with the middle section and worked out over the course of about a year. When I finished I went back and added the black border around the middle.
