Machine quilted. This quilt was made for my “city niece”, Beth, and her significant other, Nathan, for their wedding. The strips in the middle represent buildings reflected in the lake and the squares on the edge represent city windows.

Machine pieced, fused applique, machine quilted. This piece is inspired by a newspaper photograph of Frank Gehry’s residential high rise building in New York City. I was fascinated by all the undulating curves and by the vertical flat sections that seemed to be like rivers running up the sides of the structure.
