Machine and Hand pieced, Machine applique, Hand applique, Hand-embroidered, Machine quilted on a frame (longarm).

Blues. Gospel. Hip-hop. Jazz. Soul. Rock. And many more! All call Chicago home. Like this quilt, music and quilting are tools to bring people together. Together, Chicago Modern Quilt Guild members -during the pandemic- shared in our love of music, love of our city, and love of quilting to create this collection of vinyl. Techniques include machine and hand piecing, hand embroidery depicting an artist, musician or band with roots in Chicago. Each record is as unique as the artist and as the makers.
