Templates were created and hand-drawn for all appliques. A combination of machine and hand stitching was used. All emboidery was done by hand using pearl cotton. All appliques are raw edge with the exception of the bird and dragonflies. The bird and dragonfly appliques are turn edge. Each of these appliques were hand drawn and hand dyed. Ink was used to embellish these appliques. Free-motion thread painting was applied throughout. Machine quilted by designer/artist. A striking example of beauty, design and function. The inspiration for this design was derived from the Gloriosa Daisy, and the magical feeling when spring is in the air! A combination of machine and hand stitiching was used.
