Faded Glory

Machine/handpiecing and quilting, applique; the entire finished pieced top of the quilt was then dipped in an indigo dye vat. “Faded Glory” was inspired by the Japanese “boro” textiles that were mended over and over by up to five generations. All pieces of the wall hanging are recycled materials: men’s shirts, yo-yos, buttons, handmade lace & unfinished quilt pieces.
