Attached folded handkerchiefs. Pieced, embroidered, machine quilted. My aunt, Dottie Cordes, collected these hankies and always wanted to make a quilt with hanky butterflies. When she fell ill, my sister and I put it together for her. Thanks to the beautiful and speedy quilting by our friend, Janet Myers, Dottie was able to enjoy this quilt in her final months.
