Butterflies on an Iris Wreath

Hand appliquéd. Machine quilted. Embellished with decorative butterfly buttons that were created by Susan Clarke. Started many years ago in a workshop with Nancy Pearson (probably in the 1980s). The appliqué was finished that year, but the piece was put away. It recently surfaced and I decided to finish it. I had originally started to hand-quilt it but I wanted to finish it this year, so I machine quilted it instead. The butterfly buttons were purchased at the AQS Show in Lancaster, PA in 2010.
