Machine pieced in 2017 by Laurie Gorton. Machine quilted in Baptist fan pattern in 2017 by Quilted Memories, Overland Park, KS. Japanese taupe fabrics have intrigued me for many years. I finally found the right pattern. I titled this quilt “Archi-Taupe” for its strong architectural look. Does it remind you of a certain very tall building on the north end of Chicago’s Michigan Avenue? It certainly does for me.
