Painted, screened & stamped in many layers; machine stitched. The Aurora Borealis was far north, but Chicago had its own light show with a gorgeous sunset August 4, 2010. Feeling inspired, I was in my wet studio the next morning, painting bright colors and watching the colors run, forming the “Southern Light” series.
